Event Description: NJ Audubon: Invasive Plants: The Problem, Identification, And Control Presented By Michael Van Clef, PhD., Stewardship Director, Friends Of Hopewell Valley Open Space A plant is a plant -- does it matter what it is? Yes, it matters! Invasive plants crowd out the natives that our wildlife depends on, and some invasives harbor ticks! Mike Van Clef will review which plants are on the "most wanted" invasive list in our community -- some might be right in your backyard – and will discuss how to remove them, and why they are detrimental to our local habitats. When Saturday, March 10, 2018 (1:00pm to 2:30pm) Where Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924 Cost & Registration Free for members; $5 non-members. Please call 908-396-6386 to register by March 8, 2018.
